A very complicated property in a beautiful residential neighborhood. A big challenge that called for an original and bold approach.
Atrium
A stone base bears a bedroom floor. Draped walls support the slope from the north, and protect from the south the noise and sights of the people. A tram runs along the property in the immediate vicinity.
This also determined the orientation of the rooms to the atrium. In addition, half of the property is unstoppable due to the running of a deep drainage system, which has had to give way further up the slope and thus appears single-storey from a neighbour to the north.
